The Edit

So far it was just my “Wednesday’s delight”, accessed with the friendly Net-a-Porter app on Ipad. Now, it is called The Edit and it is a complete weekly online magazine, with 52 themed editions annually and – good news! -  an as-yet-unnamed sister print title that will make its debut in the fall. The Edit is 30 pages and is dedicated to women interested in great style and great stories and a surveillance on must-wear trends, game-changing pieces, exclusive interviews, insider beauty knowledge and cultural must-sees. All of them leading to the shopability benefit.

In addition to The Edit, Net-a-porter has created a one-off print magazine, The Collections Special, that offers a taste of the print magazine to be launched this fall. The Edit and The Collections Special feature Natalia Vodianova, shot by Paolo Roversi, on their covers. And she is giving a very touching and honest interview, as well.

However, I am looking forward to see the most ambitious project – that is the new print title – which will be sold by subscription and on newsstand beginning in the fall. Lucy Yeomans, editor-in-chief of Net-a-porter.com (former editor-in-chief of British Harper’s Bazaar) said it will showcase fashion “in context” alongside stories on art, culture and politics. “Print allows us to offer a more in-depth experience,” she added. Macri, R U happy? :-)
